Dear Students and Alumni,
Good morning everyone. I hope your school term is going well and you are enjoying your classes.
My wife and I want to express our gratitude for your kind words and thoughts during the past few weeks after the flood destroyed our Nashville, Tennessee home. Your words of encouragement truly help us get through the past few weeks. We are still in the process of recovering and have a long way to go but we are thankful that we are safe and sound.
For our University, over the next couple months you will see a number of changes that are being implemented to our homepage, your profiles, and the classrooms. Since we are an online university, we are striving to provide you with the latest in technology and one of the exciting new features you will see is the upgrading of our Online Library offerings. We have negotiated new contracts and over the next couple months, you will see new features added to the library. In addition to the current standard ProQuest database, the Online Library will also include the following databases Gale/Info Trac with Informe, eLibrary, Credo, RCL Web and Books, as well as ProQuest’s Academic and ABI Inform databases. These new products will greatly enhance your ability to perform research in some of the most highly regarded databases available to Universities. Final implementation is scheduled for 1 September 2010 and as we progress toward this date, you will be provided additional updates.
The 2010 graduation is scheduled to take place June 27, 2010 at our Huntington Beach, CA office. We are excited about the graduation and look forward to welcoming the 2010 graduating class into our Alumni Association. Please join us in congratulating the 2010 graduates.
Speaking of the Alumni Association, we are proud to let you know that it is being reactivated and if you are a graduate of the University, then you are automatically a member of the Association. All graduates should have received a letter asking for permission to include your contact information and a number of you have already responded. A few of you also responded that you would like to hold an office in the association. Please start checking the new Alumni section on the AUAS homepage as this new section is populated with data and information that is useful to not only our Alumni but also our students. Workshops are being loaded to the new Workshop section (also on the AUAS homepage) and these workshops will be offered free of charge to our students and Alumni. The first workshops will provide the student/Alumni with the opportunity to advance their resume building and interviewing skills as well as offering other topics of interest that you might want us to provide.
As always, we are delighted you are a member of the academic family of Apollos University. Please always feel free to contact your professor or Info@apollosuniversity.com if you have any issues or concerns and they will ensure you receive prompt and courteous feedback.
Cheers,
Dr. Paul
